The President of the WRSA-SSA, Professor Saidu Oseni has called out to both current and intending members to begin preparations to attend the next World Rabbit Congress which would hold in the city of Nantes in France between July 1 – 3, 2020. This was contained in a release made available to Livestonews recently.
The World Rabbit Science Association (WRSA) is the global umbrella body for rabbit scientists, producers and other stakeholders in the rabbit industry and it organizes the World rabbit Congress (WRC) every four years. The last three series of the WRC which were held in Italy (in 2008); Egypt (in 2012) and China (in 2016) were well attended by WRSA-SSA members under the coordination of Professor Oseni.
Preparations for the WRC 2020 is already in top gear and members wishing to attend were enjoined to visit the congress website: (https://colloque.inra.fr/wrc2020) for details of paper submission, congress fees, visa requirements, etc. Members could also subscribe to the newsletter of the Congress on the website so as to receive regular updates from now till the congress date.
According to the release by Professor Oseni, the WRC presents an opportunity to share scientific and technological innovations related to rabbit science, production, business and socio-economics and value chains. Global companies feature exhibitions to promote recent technologies and innovations in rabbit production. Thus, the event presents great opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking among global stakeholders in the rabbit industry.
The president particularly encourages members below 36 years of age to explore the Travel support available for that category, details of which are contained on the congress web-site.
