President of Livestock Industry Foundation for Africa (LIFA) and founding president of Private Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), Oyo state, Dr Stephen Adejoro, was on hand to receive the Dr Olaomo led executives of the association which paid him a courtesy visit at his residence at Isebo, Alakia, Ibadan on Wednesday 18 December 2019.

Dr Adejoro described the visit as homely and a vet family one.

“The visit was like children visiting their parents, and in this case ,they are all my children in the private veterinary medical practice, and they felt so homely and deep in our family discussion to better our noble profession”.

In the chairman speech, Dr Olaomo appreciated the long standing roles of Dr Adejoro in the developmental phases of private veterinary practices in Oyo State and stated that their visit is to encourage him to do more, and continue to document his experience for posterity.

He similarly stated that the visit was also to congratulate Mrs Adejoro on the successful burial of her father that took place on 5 – 8 November and they thought it necessary to honour their father of private veterinary practice personally at home.

The executives also discussed other vet family issues to be unfolded in the coming year with Dr Adejoro

In his response Dr Adejoro expressed deep appreciation for the honour, being the first he ever received from the association of which he was the founding president over three decades ago. He confessed that he is encouraged by the visit to do more, not only in Nigeria but in Africa through the activities of his pet NGO, Livestock Industry Foundation for Africa.

Thereafter he with his wife on behalf of the family thanked the executives for the visit and kind gifts to his family.

‘I Dr Stephen Adejoro have not taken this honour for granted, but a unique privilege from this humble profession that I love so much from my spirit. I pray that we shall live long to share this kind of loving fellowship and testimonials’.
