COVID 19: GS Agric Donates 15,000 Eggs to Osun State Palliative Effort

The management of GS Agriculture limited on Thursday 9th of April 2020 donated 500 trays of table eggs to the government and people of Osun state to support government’s effort to cushion the effect of the general lock down that has been in place across the state since 1st April 2020 as a result of the coronal virus pandemic.

While 300 trays of the eggs were handed over to the government of Osun state, the remaining 200 trays were distributed directly by GS Agric to the needy.

While receiving the item from GS Agric on behalf of the government of Osun state,  Mrs Funke Egbemode, the state commissioner of Information commended the management of GS Agric for the good gesture and the company forthright thinking in giving back to the society. She encouraged other companies in the state to emulate the worthy example of GS Agric limited.

Engineer Yemi Ajijolaiya, the Managing Director of GS Agric while making the donation said he was really motivated to do so because he realized the greatest need of everyone during this trying period of Covid 19 lockdown is food, particularly quality protein food that will boost the immune system to ward off the infection.

GS Agriculture limited is a major player in the poultry sector of Osun state. The company is involved in the production of table eggs and broiler day old chicks. GS chicks is a well known brand, especially among outgrower farmers all over the country.
